Please remove any posters, signage or stickers from the window and move furniture or ornaments out of the way. Please give your windows a clean, as dirty and dusty windows will reduce the quality of the mural. Doing this the day before I arrive will be really helpful, as that means I can get straight into creating.

Removing a window mural is easy with the correct equipment. On request, I can send clients a video tutorial via WhatsApp or social media on how to remove the window mural, or I can explain how on the day I come to create the work for you.
For clients who want a seasonal mural, I usually remove the previous design for you before starting a new one on the same day.
However, if you don’t want a new window mural to replace the old one, I can still remove it for you for a small fee.
If you want to remove it yourself you will need a bottle of window cleaner spray, a microfibre cloth, a bucket/washing up bowl of warm soapy water, kitchen roll and a window squeegee (optional).
Spray the window cleaner onto the window so that it’s fully saturated. Wait a few seconds, then use your microfibre cloth to remove the paint from the glass. When the cloth is dirty, rinse it in the warm soapy water and repeat the process until the mural is removed. You can then use a squeegee to remove excess water from the window, and kitchen roll to dry it.
To make the process of removing the mural faster, you can use a window scraper. However, window scraper blades are very sharp, and you must only use a window blade on a wet window using a fresh blade. You will risk scratching your window if you use an old or rusty blade, or use a blade on dry glass.

It all depends on how complicated the design is and how large the space is! For window murals it can take anywhere between a couple of hours to a full day. For wall murals, it can take anywhere between half a day to a few days. When providing quotes, I also provide an estimate on how long it will take me.

For window or wall murals, please provide dimensions, a photograph of the window or wall front on, your location, any design ideas you have and when ideally you would like the commission to take place.
For walls, please specify what type of surface texture I’d be working on, for example: Plaster, brick, breeze block, matt paint, silk paint, gloss and so on.
For anything else, just provide me with as much information as possible about what you would like, your location and when ideally you would like the commission to be completed by.

I prefer working on the inside, as this means that window cleaners can still clean the windows on the outside.
I can work on the outside if it's preferred, particularly if the glass is tinted, or there is an obstruction which means accessing the windows from the inside is difficult, however, the weather has to be dry, and for the duration that the mural is up I wouldn’t recommend a window cleaner as they could damage it.
During our consultation, I will discuss the pros and cons of both options, and you can decide on what’s suitable for you and your business.

I've created window murals that have lasted for years! Like with all things, as long as you look after something, it will last a long time. The great thing about window murals is that they can be removed and changed as regularly as you like! A lot of shops find this useful during the holidays and different seasons.
